| Description: | This is simple chess program for HPGCC on the 50g, tested with ROM 2.08. This is a the chess demo from HPGCC, with two annoying deficiencies fixed. First, it is now easier to see which piece is white and which is black, and second, it displays the move made by the computer after the board is redrawn, so the player does not need to compare the positions. It is quite playable now, and plays decently. Since it is native ARM code, it gives a good ratio of speed/quality of play vs battery consumption. | |
