I have used HP calculators since the 34c came out. I've have the complete 41 cx with hpil loop. optical wand, printer, rs232, and all the engineering apps plus a card reader.

and now 3 primes.
I always kept a spare in case one crapped out.
Maybe it's time to try a TI calculator...
