Detlef,

You have HP's permission to include the information, as stated in
the attached memo, in your next release.

I am copying this memo to Charlie Patton, who is very busy at
the momment, but who may find the time to get you some newer
documentation.

Best regards,

Dennis

I am very sorry for expressing myself so unclear. What I want is the
permission to include the two files BNF.DOC and BNF.DIR into next release
of the RPL48 toolkit package; the RPL48 toolkit package is a sys-RPL/
assembler development kit running on a HP48 (ROM rev A-E yet) and was
written by Raymond Hellstern and myself. It consist of mainly three files:
RPL.LIB - sys-RPL de/compiler & Saturn dis/assembler, LIB.LIB - library
creator/splitter and RPL.TAB - entries reference table. The total memory
requirement is ~60k on a FREEd card. The topics of the kit are:
  - you are able to compile/assembler source strings on a HP48 itself. The
input string syntax of the sys-RPL compiler is grammatical a subset of
RPLCOMP.EXE, the input string syntax of the assembler is a subset of
    SASM.EXE
  - programs/code objects can be decompiled/disassembled
  - libraries can be created and splitted on the HP48 itself
  - the <-RPL-> library also features a permanent sys-RPL 5/7 lines medium
font stack display, a 5/7 lines sys-RPL interactive stack, limeted
sys-RPL editing ability, an interactive entries browser and an interactive
    character set browser
  - the <-LIB-> library also features handling of objects not supported by
the user interface of the HP48 and advanced library handling

Please let me know, if you want a prerelease of the kit (I would send it
to you via e-mail as uuencoded PKZIP 1.1 archive - total traffic ~130k).

Yes, that is right - the few copies I own, are foot-noted 'Thursday August
7, 1986'. I would really be happy about any information that you are willing
to sent me - thank you very much in advance. In case you want to send me
information in electronic form (e-mail), please compress the files using
your prefered compressor (any ZIP, ARJ, ZOO, tar.z etc.) before uuencoding.
I can recieve e-mail up to 100k/letter and don't have internet access (but
I could use the DEC ftp mail server, if required). If you want to send me
paperware, please drop me a line, I'll send you my snail-mail address then.

Best regards,
        Detlef Mueller
