Connectivity Kit Menus
The Connectivity Kit Window of Debug4x has these menus:
- File Menu
- Edit Menu
- View Menu
- Help Menu
Delete: delete a file or complete directory on the calculator. Also on the Popup Menu.
Rename: rename a file or complete directory on the calculator. Also on the Popup Menu.
Properties: show the properties of a file or complete directory on the calculator. Also on the Popup Menu.
Connect (or Disconnect): establish or break a connection to a calculator XModem server.
Download Server (Manual-XRECV): download the HP-48 XModem Server Library to a calculator variable using the XRECV command on the calculator. You will be prompted to start the XRECV command. The library is not automatically installed it is just left in the variable. Prompts will be given to describe the library installation. The XModem Server must be off for this command..
Download File (Manual-XRECV): download a file to a calculator variable using the XRECV command on the calculator. You will be prompted to start the XRECV command. The XModem Server must be off for this command.
Upload File (Manual-XSEND): upload a file to the PC from a calculator variable using the XSEND command on the calculator. You will be prompted to start the XSEND command. The XModem Server must be off for this command.
Capture Calculator Screen: capture a selected calculator screen. The image is sent to the PC by the calculator using the calculator's printer interface. The XModem Server must be off for this command.
Close: close the Connectivity Kit Window and disconnect from the calculator server..
Connectivity Kit (XModem) Window
The Connectivity Kit Window can be opened and closed by using
the Debug4x Main Window's
View Menu.
Introduction
There are several Connectivity Kit software packages available. Two well know packages from HP are:
The Connectivity Kit Window of Debug4x provides a fast, XModem utility. With the supplied XModem Library for the HP-48, the window can be used with both the HP-48 and HP-49G calculators. If you choose to not load the supplied HP-48 XModem Library, the Connectivity Kit Window can still download the project files using the XRECV command of the HP-48.
For the HP-49G, all Connectivity Kit Window features are available through the HP-49G's XSERV command (shortcut: right-shift, release, then right arrow).
For the HP-48, all Connectivity Kit Window features are available after downloading and installing the XModem Library.
Connectivity Kit Window Features:
Tool Bar
The connectivity Tool Bar displays the current communications port and the
Connect Icon. The connect Icon can be used to establish of break
connections to the calculator XModem Server.
When the calculator is not connected, the icon changes to:
Connectivity Status
The connectivity Status Bar is displayed by using the View Menu, Status
Bar setting. The status bar displays the server version initially.
As commands are sent to the server, they are displayed on the bar until
completed. Should a command fail, it will remain on the statuis bar.
The right portion of the status bar shows the amount of memory remaining on the calculator.
Popup Menu
The Popup Menu is used to delete, rename or display the properties of
files or directpries on the calculator. The menu will popup when an item
in the window is right-clicked with the mouse.
