Fontman 8.2003   (details) 49/50 ENG   11KB/2KB
ScreenshotFontman makes it easy to create your own font, also for export. This concerns minifonts as well. Clearly, you can always temporarily modify your current font in the builin Character browser. But modifying or creating a new font seriously means more, namely besides new characters it has to be given a new name and number, called the font ID. This is readily done with SetFP in a dialog screen shown in the screen-shot. You can modify or create a new Minifont as well. Fontman contains also a new powerful font browser. You can toggle the builtin fonts, recall the current font, etc.
By Wolfgang Rautenberg. 2003/12/28

Libman 2.2003/1.2004Get It   (details) 49/50 ENG   25KB/2KB
ScreenshotA comfortable tool for managing the LIB menu on the LIB key which cannot be rearranged with the Filer. With about 20 libs the LIB key becomes intolerably slow. Libman sets up a full-screen browser for all attached libs with a rich menu for customization of the LIB menu and other manipulation with libs. You can organize the LIB menu in pages, a separate page for game libs, for port entries etc. Libs not needed directly may temporarily "sleep" (they remain active). In a satellite command browser HELP on a lib command may be consulted exactly as in the CAT browser. On the 49G+, this also provides an easy means of accessing files on the SD card. Contains HTML documentation.

Msgman 1.2005   (details) 49/50 ENG   12KB/1KB
ScreenshotMessages can only partly be handled at the user level in the ERROR menu. This situation improves considerably with Msgman. All built-in messages can conveniently be called to the stack, and you can find all built-in messages containing a given text fragment. Using its number instead of a message itself saves bytes in your programs and makes the message even language-sensitive. Msgman has one page only. The first 3 commands deal with built-in messages, the last 3 with message display, preferably in the new header of the HP 49g+. You can flash a message in the new header, or display it in two lines in the header, similar to PROMPT but without suspending with HALT. And you can insert a small text into the header at a suitable place.

Split 4.2004   (details) 49/50 ENG   3KB/1KB
ScreenshotPerhaps the smallest library splitter - less than 125 bytes. And it splits even internal libraries like lib 2 (most User RPL commands) or lib 221 with the new 49 user commands DISPXY etc. For splitting library 2 with 67 pages of most user commands only 10_s are needed, and for the still larger CAS lib 222 (80 pages!) less than 15_s. Rompointer references to the library commands are not replaced by names from the source directory which is sometimes very useful.

Timeman 1.2005Get It   (details) 49/50 ENG   26KB/4KB
ScreenshotAllows setting setting date and time in a nice graphic environement with a running analog clock and a (month) calendar. The clock hands are moved with some keys as if you would move them on a real clock with your finger tips. Powerful calibration tools for the HP 49 clock are included as well. One can virtually browse through the calendar, in steps of a day, a week, a month or a year, even through the centuries. Thus, you see how the month calendar looks ten years from now, say, and make your plans. You can also easily set date and time after a battery collaps etc. There is also a world map with a moving noon meridian. Hence, so you'll know where it is noon at present. You can also set the 24 time-zone and in this way readily determine the local time of big towns in the whole world. Included are also fast alarm tools which allow setting repeat alarms of precisely one or several years, impossible with builtin tools. And you may play your own wake-up melody. Documentation in HTML.

Unitman 4.2004Get It   (details) 49/50 ENG FRA ESP DEU   54KB/2KB
ScreenshotAllows a complete customization of the UNITS system. One may add user-defined units to the unit categories. User units are treated like built-ins, i.e., the famous 3-fold functionality of a unit key applies to an integrated user-units as well. In addition, one may reorganize a units menu, i.e., reorder it or purge not needed units. The same can be done with the whole bundle of unit directories to which new ones may be added ad libitum. Now contains HTML documentation.

UNITMAN 7.2001Get It   (details) 48 ENG   6KB/1KB
Allows built-in units to be purged and others added to unit menus ad libitum. Unit categories can be added and removed as well. Thus, the UNITS menu system can be completely reorganized and adapted to professional needs. Particularly interesting is that the famous 3-fold functionality of unit keys applies to user-defined units as well.
